Meet Aurora! A Sweet 4 Year Old Pup Who is Ready to Find Her Forever Home!

Have you ever had to recover from a big injury? Then you know how Aurora feels. Maybe you've even worn a brace like she has! This 4-year-old pup was hit by a car and found by animal control. Knowing she'd likely need some heavy-duty medical care, animal control brought Aurora to the Connecticut Humane Society. That was back in April! CHS' staff medical team initially feared that she'd need her hurt leg amputated, but soon discovered that with treatment and physical therapy, the pup could keep her leg and learn to use it again.

Aurora and her human pals have worked really hard on her physical therapy exercises, and everyone has found creative ways to help her get around in the meantime to go to the bathroom, make doggie friends, and be an office helper. Aurora is now ready to find her new home! She'll need to continue her physical therapy and would love a home that doesn't have many stairs. But most of all she wants to find a human who needs a best friend just like she does.
