Healthy Pregnancy Tips
Gaining an appropriate amount of weight during pregnancy helps your baby grow AND can lower the chances that later in life you and your child will have obesity and weight related problems.
It’s important to gain weight slowly to maintain optimum health:
- You should gain 1 – 4 pounds in the first 3 months
- You should gain 2 – 4 pounds each month from 4 months until delivery
- Track your weight and work with your PCP
- Don’t try to lose weight if your pregnant
