Hartford’s Camp Courant is the oldest and largest FREE summer day camp program in the country, and our programs provide Hartford’s youth, ages 5 -12, with an opportunity to build meaningful and positive relationships with fellow campers and staff, learn, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Campers become part of a historic camp community that continues to grow and evolve, but has also stood the test of time.
We are busy creating an exciting camp community that will have a positive and lifelong impact on our young campers – a camp where kids can experience diversity by meeting children from all backgrounds, where they can learn to be independent and where they will be challenged to try new activities – all while having a healthy dose of fun!

Camp Courant 2021 5k & Kids Fun Run
Tie up your laces and join the many ‘champs for camp’ this June with Camp Courant’s 4th Annual Johnson Brunetti 5k & Stanley Black & Decker Kids Fun Run! This annual family event will be virtual, and we invite participants to run or walk anywhere they choose in either the ½ mile, 1 mile, or 5k distance.
Register to participate (individually or with a team), pledge support or be a fundraiser. Your participation will help to raise the necessary funds Camp Courant needs to provide fun recreational activities, positive social interactions, and educational experiences for nearly 1,000 of Hartford’s children this summer.
Kids under 15 are encouraged to get in on the action and challenge themselves by registering for the ½ mile or 1 mile distance Kids Run!
