Introducing Howie! Howie is a 7-8 year old bully breed mix (maybe some American Bulldog), who weighs about 80 lbs and has medium energy. Howie had quite the journey before coming to POA. He was picked up as a stray at a local park and spent a long time recovering from this trauma. He spent quite a few months with a local Animal Control, where they worked hard to help Howie learn to trust people, walk nicely on a leash, and learn basic obedience. Howie is a very smart boy and loves treats, so training him is fun if you come with a proper treat supply. He is already learning the “touch” command.
Because of Howie’s size and strength, Howie needs a home that has big dog experience and is familiar with positive reinforcement training techniques. Dog saavy kids over 14 years old for Howie.
