Cartey
Cartey is a 6.5-year-old chocolate lab/pit bull terrier mix boy who is full grown around a hefty 90 lbs. He was surrendered to us by an owner who had him since he was a baby, but could not take him when he moved. Cartey is overweight & needs to lose about 15 lbs to be his healthiest, but he is happy to drag you on a walk or have a romp in the yard. Cartey is housebroken and does not need to be crated, but he is a sneak eater/chewer and likes to get hold of things he shouldn't have, like socks or earbuds. Cartey gets along with other dogs but does have some guarding behaviors we are addressing with a trainer - for that reason we think he would do best as an only dog, or with an experienced handler. Cartey can't live with cats. He would be fine with older kids (10+). Cartey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is ready to be adopted. CLICK HERE for more info at the Woof Gang Rescue!
