First Day of Lent in Connecticut

Here's where you can go for your ashes, across Connecticut:

St. Paul's on the Green in Norwalk

60 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT

Distribution of Ashes - Wednesday, February 17, 11 am - noon and 6-7 pm

To mark the beginning of the season of Lent, St. Paul's on the Green will be distributing ashes in a safe, drive-through manner, with imposition and prayers at each vehicle.

All are invited to drive through the church parking lot between 11 am and noon or 6 and 7 pm on Ash Wednesday, February 17th.

Ashes can be imposed from your car, or taken with you to impose on yourself during one of our online services held that day at 12:05 and 7:30 pm.

Milford

Saint Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Avenue, Milford, CT and Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT

There will be a service of Ashes at 4:00 p.m. at Saint Mary Church, and a service of Ashes at 12:05 and 7:00 p.m. at Saint Agnes Church.

Simsbury

St. Mary's Church, 942 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, CT

Distribution of Ashes (no Mass): 12:15 pm & 6 pm

Avon:

St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

224 Lovely Street, Avon, CT

Ridgefield:

St. Elizabeth Seton Parish

520 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield, CT

Ashes will be distributed at all Masses at 12:00 P.M. and 7:30 P.M.

South Windsor

St. Junipero Parish (St. Margaret Mary Church and St. Francis of Assisi Church)

Prayer Service with Ashes

3:00 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church

Ashes will also be distributed during the day:

9:00 am to 1:00 pm at St. Margaret Mary Church

1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Church

Danbury
St. Peter Church, 104 Main Street, Danbury, CT

Priests will be in the Church from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm to impose ashes on a walk-in basis (no registration required).
