Connecticut Covid Update: Positivity Rate Rises to 8.6%

The state's COVID-19 positivity rate has gone up to 8.6% since Monday, Governor Ned Lamont reported in a virtual event Tuesday.

The governor shared that it is the highest infection rate since the start of broad-based testing in Connecticut. In addition to the rise in positive cases, there were an additional 40 hospitalizations and 18 deaths reported today.

As the number of cases grows, Senator Blumenthal met with members of the Connecticut Hospital Association, to hear their concerns about hospitalizations and more.
