Misty and Demi are sisters and they are a beautiful pair. Their personalities complement one another and they take cues from each other (positively) when it comes to interacting with people. They are not at all aggressive, very playful, very clean and a great eaters. They also get along with the resident dog.
Demi is really soft and sweet and has a very mellow personality. She has come a long way since she was first taken in. She likes to play with her toys, or chase anything on a string or the laser pointer. She also likes to drag a simple shoe lace all around the house.
Demi, however, is painfully shy and would need someone to be patient and calm with her, in order for her to adjust to a new home and come out of her shell. When her foster mom sits on the floor, Demi and Misty and the resident cats all come come over to her for pets, and treats and cuddle time. This is when Demi shows her super sweet side. She lets her foster mom, pet her and rub her belly and she can easily pick her up and cuddle her, and from the purring she does while being held, it is clear that she is learning to like it.
Misty is a beautiful dilute torti. She has that typical 'I'll come when I feel like it' torti-tude. But she is actually a little mush muffin, when she decides to be. Misty likes to run the show and put out independent vibes, then, just when you think she's going to walk away, she bashes her head into your hand and plops in front of you to be petted. And when she is feeling safe (or hungry), she is very affectionate, climbs on her foster mom's lap and lets her pick her up and love on her.
Misty and Demi would do well in a quiet-ish home with not a lot of people. They would need time to adjust to a new environment and also should go to a home with cat experienced people, who know how to read their cues and let them adjust on her terms.
