NFL Hall of famer and former 49ers quarterback Joe Montana and his family are okay after a woman attempted to kidnap his grandchild over the weekend. According to police, a 39-year-old woman entered Montana's home through an unlocked door and tried to kidnap his infant grandchild.
The wonderful news? Montana and his wife were able to fight the woman off and retrieve the baby, who was unharmed. The woman has been since charged with kidnapping and burglary.
Montana has taken to Twitter to confirm the reports, but isn’t saying much. "Thank you to everyone who has reached out,” he writes. “Scary situation, but thankful that everybody is doing well. We appreciate respect for our privacy at this time.”
Note to wannabe thugs...don't pick the home of a former football player!
