Bruce Springsteen Wrote New Album On Guitar Given To Him By Fan

Bruce Springsteen will release the new album “Letter To You” on October 23rd, and in his new “Rolling Stone” interview he shares that a fan is partially responsible for the record.

The Boss notes that the album was written on an acoustic guitar given to him by a fan after one of his “Springsteen on Broadway” shows. “I said, ‘Geez, you know, thanks,’” he shares. “And I just took a quick glance at it and it looked like a nice guitar, so I jumped in the car with it.” Bruce didn’t pick up the guitar again until about April, 2019, and he says “all the songs from the album came out of it.”

He adds, “In perhaps less than 10 days. I just wandered around the house in different rooms, and I wrote a song each day,” noting, “I wrote a song in the bedroom. I wrote a song in our bar. I wrote a song in the living room.”
