On Wednesday, the CIAC Board of Control announced they have reaffirmed their previous decision to cancel full-contact high school football for the fall. The decision was based on the CT DPH's guidelines, stating that football is considered a high-risk sport and has the potential to spread COVID-19 rapidly.
According to a statement from CIAC, "The board did, however, agree it would consider allowing competition at a later time for a sport that cannot hold its regularly scheduled season, such as football, provided it does not negatively impact spring sports."
