About Sheena
The Connecticut Humane Society will be opening adoptions by appointment ONLY starting Thursday, 4/2/2020. We have a strong team of animal care professionals taking care of our animals' basic needs and providing extra TLC and daily enrichment and every measure to keep our staff, animals and clients safe will be taken during this time. Some notes from Sheena's foster home:
Sheena is a timid but sweet hound.
She stayed with three other dogs and gets along with them great, but she appreciates her space while she naps.
She goes into her pen/bed area at night to sleep with no problem.
Sheena would do best with a securely fenced in yard.
She's a little afraid of vehicles on our walks and will try to bolt if there is a loud noise - so secure leash handling is a must.
She's met a few dogs her size and smaller and has done great. Gave play bows and participated in some play. She's getting used to car rides too.
She was a little vocal outside when she heard neighbor's dogs barking. She loves laying in the sun as well

~ I want to live with kids over 12 years of age.
~ I am a high energy kind of dog and am looking for a home where I can get lots of exercise every day.
~ I am a great dog with lots of potential. I need a family with shy dog experience.
