Pets are effected by this virus too...not in the get sick type of way, but in a trickle down effect...
The San Diego Humane Society will be donating more than 70,000 pounds of pet food and supplies to nearby families who need extra help during these unusual times.
Needy pet owners will be able to pick up a bag of dog or cat food, as well as other supplies, such as cat litter, pet treats and pet beds -- while supplies last.
The Humane Society is working with other groups in the area to inspire more donations – and make sure those donations help as many pet owners as possible. (KUSI-TV)
