Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Test Positive For Coronavirus

The coronavirus has hit Hollywood, courtesy of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. The two were in Australia for the pre-production of Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley film when they tested positive.

Tom shared the news on The ‘Gram. He and his wife had cold and flu symptom but got tested for coronavirus as a precaution. He said, “What to do next?” he asked. “The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”

While Tom’s current situation won’t affect the Elvis film – which comes out in October 2021 – he’s in “Greyhound” which just got moved to June 12th from its original May 8th release date. In the meantime, their son, Colin Hanks has taken to social media to thank everyone for the outpouring of support for his family. He adds, "I'm confident they'll make a full recovery."
