Here is the first installment of the monthly Purposely by Design podcast, which is a way for the Ucal McKenzie Breakaway Foundation to shine a light on their generous sponsors and donors who are making a difference in the community!
In this episode, Renee chats with Suzanne McKenzie, Executive Director of UMBF and Founder and CEO of Able Made, and Kara Rubin, Vice President of Brand & Product Strategy for JUST Goods!
The JUST Ripple Effect
We believe that even the smallest ripple can make a big splash.
One carton might not save the world, but it’s a start.
JUST inspires people to do good and feel good by making conscious choices that help people and the planet.
We’ve created a new model for valuing water in a world where it’s increasing scarce.
We consider the materials we use, where they come from, and how they can be reused.
It’s our mission to create better options for the things we need in our lives.

Able Made was founded with passion by Creative Director, Suzanne McKenzie. Inspired by the impact her late husband made on city youth through soccer, and the belief that design can drive beautiful and lasting change, Able Made pushes the boundaries of product design and fashion. The result? Thoughtful and innovative pieces that raise awareness while encouraging healthier living.
From design and construction that promote activity, manufacturing and materials that respect people and the planet, and giving back to the Ucal McKenzie Breakaway Foundation in order to keep children healthy, Suzanne works to be a force of positive design-driven solutions through Able Made.
