School Swaps December Homework For Acts Of Kindness!

A school in Ireland is trading in homework during the month of December and giving kids a chance to spread joy instead. More than 350 students at the elementary school in Cork have had their usual homework suspended for the month so they can perform acts of kindness in their families and communities.

So far, some of the youngsters have volunteered to visit older people in nursing homes, some have pledged to play with classmates they normally don’t interact with at school, and one class donated dog treats to a local animal shelter “to make sure the dogs would feel loved at Christmas.” This is the third year of the program and it’s been a big hit with students, parents, and teachers that it’s now inspiring other schools in Cork to give it a try.

Worth a shot right? :)
