Back in January, Pittsburgh Penguins hockey player Sidney Crosby won the MVP award at the NHL All-Star Game. He was given a brand-new Honda Passport as a prize.
On Friday, he donated that Honda Passport to Army Specialist Madeline Malizio.
Sidney learned that Madeline was juggling military service, school and being a single mom to her 3-year-old son, all while taking public transportation and Ubers to get where she needed to go.
So, Sidney made her life a lot easier by giving her the car.
Even Madeline’s son knows this is a big deal. As the winter weather hits, they won’t have to wait in the cold for buses or cars when it’s time to go to daycare or to school. (KDKA-TV)
