A 67-year-old Chinese woman is now a new mother.
The retired doctor gave birth to a girl in northeastern China after reportedly getting pregnant naturally though use of traditional Chinese fertility treatments. Doctors, who delivered the child through C-section, say the woman had the ovaries of a 40-year-old.
She and her 68-year-old husband have decided to give the baby a name Tianci, which means "gift sent from heaven." The woman already has two grown children and several grandchildren, who she says threatened to "sever all ties with her" if she had the baby.

Tian may now be the oldest woman to give birth in the country.According to the state-run China Daily, the previous record was held by a woman from Changchun, in east China's Jilin province, who gave birth to a baby boy in 2016 at the age of 64.
In September, a 73-year-old woman in India gave birth to twin girls, conceived through IVF. Erramatti Mangayamma, a farmer from the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, is believed to be the oldest person to give birth.
