Football Player Changes Name On Jersey To Honor His Ste-Dad!

Last month, George Grimwade legally changed his name to George Grimwade-Musto to honor his stepdad. But, he was able to keep it a surprise from his stepdad until a special moment that he was able to share with thousands of people.

You see, George plays football for Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

And during Samford University’s family weekend on campus, George played in a game. During that game, George ran to the sidelines and approached his mom and stepdad -- wearing a jersey with the name Musto on the back.

George and his stepdad embraced, and then George ran back onto the field to continue playing.

George said the decision he made to change his name was a big one and he’s excited to carry on the last name of the man who raised him since he was in second grade. (CBS News)
