In one town in northern Michigan, there’s a high school with a band but no football team, and in another, there’s a football team without a band. So the schools joined forces for the full gameday experience and had a blast playing together.
Maple City Glen Lake invited the marching band from Forest Area Schools to play at its home game and the band was thrilled to play for football fans. Their football season was cancelled when not enough players came out for the team. Glen Lake’s athletic director,Matthew Mattson, says they’re welcome to return for future games and that there’s nothing like having a band “rocking out with our fans.”
