For years, a small religious painting hung in the kitchen of an elderly woman in France.
Well, that small religious painting -- titled Christ Mocked-- was valued at about $7 million.
The masterpiece was actually created in the 13th century and is one of only 10 still around from artist Cimabue, considered to be the grandfather of Western painting.
Because it’s so rare and because the artist was so important in the history of art, this painting is worth a fortune -- a fortune that just happened to be found in a most expected place.
