Yastrzemski Homers At Fenway Park...No Its Not 1975!

You gotta figure San Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski felt a sense of awe as he set foot in the ballpark his grandfather and Red Sox legend CarlYastrzemski called home for 23 years.

And in his first at bat he had everyone with a sense of nostalgia saying “awwww” when he—what else—homered in the top of the fourth inning of Tuesday's game.

Of course, the game didn’t finish until Wednesday morning after it took 15 innings for the Giants to beat the Sox 7-6

The solo shot was the 238th home run by a Yastrzemski at Fenway Park and the first since gramps went deep against Moose Haas of the Milwaukee Brewers on July 31, 1983.

Gramps will be at the game tonight to watch his grandson play where he used too!
