Dog Star Rescue's 6th Annual Bark and Brew

Dog Star Rescue will host its 6th annual Bark and Brew to benefit the adoption of stray dogs in Connecticut, and throughout New England. The special event will be held on September 28, 2019 at Thomas Hooker Brewery, a major partner of Dog Star Rescue, and it will include beer samples and puppy cuddles for attendees throughout the evening.

In addition to puppy cuddles at the puppy kissing booth during Bark and Brew, attendees will also be able to enjoy a variety of Thomas Hooker beers to sample throughout the evening, including #Nofilter, Golden Nymph IPA, Oktoberfest, NorEaster, Farm to Can and more. Thomas Hooker, which is located next to Dog Star Rescue’s facility in Bloomfield, has been a supporter of the nonprofit’s efforts and a host of the Bark and Brew since the event’s inception.

Bark and Brew will also offer Dog Star’s award winning barbeque for guests, as well as music from all-female band, Sister Funk, which has been nominated for a New England Music Award for Best Band in Connecticut. The event will also include a raffle of dozens of donated prizes, ranging from dog-specific toys and treats to bottles of wine and gift packages for people to enjoy.

  • Individual tickets for Bark and Brew are $45
