An East Haven High School wrestler is being called a hero after helping save his mother's life.

Quick thinking by 16-year-old Enzo Bunce was the difference when his mom needed him most.

The Bunce family was in upstate New York last Friday night for a wrestling meet when his mother said she wasn't feeling well and then suddenly passed out in their hotel room.

Enzo was in the room alone with his mother, turned her over onto her side and ran downstairs to get his father. When they got back to the room, his father called 911 and he calmly administered the CPR training he learned in health class at East Haven High School and in training to be a firefighter.

Enzo said it was the most terrifying moment of his life, but he knew he had to keep his cool.

He wrestled last weekend at his mother's request.

He won two matches, and she is recovering now at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Enzo hopes that sharing his story will help save someone else's life and motivate others to learn CPR.
