Let us introduce you to a wonderful 12 year old boy from Hartford named Izaiah Lorenzo! Izaiah is a straight A student, an avid sports fan (Go Cowboys!), and an absolute joy to be around. Born with quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy, Izaiah faces daily struggles getting around and is really just looking for independence in his day to day life. After seeing the story of Izaiah and his awesome mom, Christina, we as business leaders decided we wanted to help. Christina is amazing and a true inspiration in her quest as a mother to provide Izaiah with a life of freedom and mobility, and we want to come together as a community to help bring that to them.
On Sunday, March 24th, Balos is partnering with Chip’s Family Restaurant and Linked Media to host a special fundraising event for Izaiah. The event will take place from 12p-5p and will include a silent auction, entertainment, special guests, and of course, food and drinks. Tickets are $100/person, and the proceeds will go towards a wheelchair accessible van, an adequate ramp, and hopefully even the start of new home fund for Izaiah, his sister, and his mother. We couldn’t be happier to support this family and help give Izaiah the quality of life he deserves.
If you can’t make the event, but would love to support Izaiah, we are accepting donations online or auction items at Balos. Want to get involved? Give us a call at 860-231-0028.
Chip’s Family Restaurant and Linked Media will be matching the money raised for Izaiah.
