About Mitchell Farm Music Festival

This event not only serves as a fund-raiser for our non-profit horse sanctuary but also brings awareness to equine welfare issues and builds community interaction. You just can’t beat the energy generated by hundreds of people sharing the experience of live music, great food and bucolic hills dotted with grazing horses. Salem Valley, where we are located, is a gem in Southeastern Connecticut. It sits on land designated for agricultural use by the Connecticut Farm Land Trust, and is bordered by the congressionally designated “Wild & Scenic” Eight Mile River Basin. Beauty and wildlife abound here; the music festival enables us to share this exceptional place as well as support our mission.
