Event Details
Join us for our 11th Annual Rally & Adoption Event on August 18th at the North Haven Fairgrounds. Admission includes food and a drink, but we will also have a Live bands, raffles, prizes, beer garden, tons of vendors, and there will also be rescue organizations with adoptable pets!
Last year we had over 600 people through the gates and about 100 vendors of all types and we hope to have more this year! This year Rescue K911 will be in charge of the adoption portion of the Rally which we are so excited for! K911 is an amazing & dedicated organization who goes above and beyond to save animals. The rally is crowded with people, adoptable pets, children, animals, food, and loud music. If your pet is not comfortable with any of those things or if the temperature is high – PLEASE LEAVE THEM HOME!
Rally guidelines for pets & their owners:
🔹Have complete physical & verbal control of your pet.
🔹All walking pets must be on a secure leash.
🔹For the safety of people and pets we cannot allow retractable leashes. A regular leash will be provided to use during your visit.
🔹For dogs, we advise against face-to-face greetings as it can be interpreted as an aggressive act causing a bite situation.
🔹Pets will not be allowed in the food area.
🔹For health reasons please avoid bringing pets with communicable diseases such as fleas, parasites, etc.
🔹All pets must be up to date with age appropriate vaccinations and current tags.
🔹For the safety of other pets, we will not allow entry to female dogs in heat and males who are not neutered.
🔹It will be hot and humid in August, please use your best judgment before bringing your pet to this event – it is a large area to walk with little to no shade.
🔹Please remember, your pet may be friendly, but other pets might not be despite these requests & on-site screenings.
🔸If you are unsure of your pets reaction or weary of their behavior at an event like this, please be responsible and leave them home where they are comfortable and safe.
B.A.A.C. understands accidents happen despite the best of intentions, however we cannot tolerate behavior that may cause harm. We reserve the right to refuse admission. We must put our voiceless first and protect them.
