Women's-only Golf Tournament to support CRT’s new Women's Empowerment Center

On Thursday, August 2, the Community Renewal Team (CRT) will host the 9th Annual “Tee Off with Women” Golf Classic at Keney Park Golf Course. This special women’s-only golf tournament will raise funds for the development of CRT’s new Women’s Empowerment Center in Hartford.
“The Tee Off with Women promises to be a wonderful day of golf, camaraderie and fun in a friendly yet competitive event. We’re excited to have the chance to bring together so many women who are dedicated to the goals of CRT’s Women’s Empowerment Center,” said Ilana Bernstein, Director of Development for CRT.
For the past 55 years, CRT’s mission has focused on helping people in the community to overcome life’s challenges. More than half of the individuals that the agency serves every year are female, and nearly one third of the families served by CRT are headed by single mothers.
For individuals that do not yet know how to golf, there will be a special two-hour, hands-on “Not a Golfer” clinic from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., to give women who are new to the sport a chance to get in the swing of things!
