CT K-9 Olympics Photos and Recap!

On Saturday, July 28th we were at the 27th Annual K-9 Olympics in Enfield. It was a day filled with dogs, drills, and donations. Trained K-9 units from local police departments, CT State Police, and Department of Corrections competed in a variety of drills including obedience, obstacles, building search, marksmanship, and an apprehension K-9 drill. This year all proceeds raised went to the Hometown Foundation (SPECIAL OLYMPICS), "CHIPS" Program, Shriners Children's Burn Centers and other "Police related" charities.

They had the CT Department of Corrections Correctional Emergency Response Team there to inform attendees what they do and how they operate. They also had Kenway's Cause, Connecticut Emergency Animal Response Service - EARS, CT State Prison Employees Federal Credit Union, and so much more. There was something for everyone. It was an exciting day and it was great to see the stands filled with spectators and supporters cheering on the dogs and their handlers.

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Officer Chris Brown and K-9 Loki from Orange Police Department for being named the 2018 CT K-9 Olympic Champions! We had a blast and can't wait for next year!
