Good Luck To The CT National Guard!

Thirty members of the Connecticut National Guard will head out on an important mission Thursday.

For this unit, this will be their first overseas mission as they head to Southwest Asia.

These are members of the Connecticut Army National Guard's Charlie Company, Third Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment. This group flies one of the Blackhawk helicopters, which are made at Sikorsky here in our state.

Officials say they will be responsible for providing aeromedical evacuation, critical care and medical support while moving patients.

Once they leave here, they are first going to head to Texas for training. And then from there we'll go onto their final destination.

Good luck, and here's to a safe return home.
