A proud Florida mom beamed with joy as she watched her daughter graduate from Florida International University last week. Her daughter then smiled with delight as she watched her mom accept her own diploma.
38-year-old Gigi Bolt graduated high school in 1997 with her one-year-old daughter Katherine watching from the audience. She put her college career on hold in order to raise Katherine and eventually earned her bachelor's degree in 2012.
When Katherine enrolled in the college, Gigi also enrolled in a master's program. They timed things out perfectly as they completed their programs simultaneously.
They sat next to each other at graduation holding hands and then cheered each other on as they accepted their degrees.
