CT Law Enforcement Torch Run Breakfast

Thursday February 8, 2018 -  Today, law enforcement officers from all over the state of Connecticut came together to prepare and plan for their upcoming Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Every year, officers and Special Olympic Athletes join together to participate in a 3 day run across Connecticut. They are commonly known as the "Guardians of the Flame" and it is the 'largest public awareness vehicle' for Special Olympics all over the globe.

In Connecticut alone, there are 1,500 active and retired law enforcement who participate and in 2017 they raised a total of $567,000. Their efforts are recognized, appreciated, and respected all throughout Connecticut. They are united by this cause and dedicated to help the Special Olympic Athletes anyway they can.
