Gimme Shelter Fundraiser at JaSa Asian Restaurant
2017 was a fruitful inaugural year for Gimme Shelter. We donated $6,500 and inspired the town to establish its first ever Animal Shelter Gift Fund. AbandonedAnimals.org We will kick-off 2018 with a restaurant event in conjunction with Chinese New Year.
It will be Thursday, February 15th, from 4 - 10pm. The fundraiser will be at JaSa Asian Restaurant, 1720 Dixwell Ave. (across from Mather Street), in Hamden. JaSaHamden.com
The restaurant will donate 20%, of everyone's pre-taxed bill, who makes a reservation and then presents the attached event flier with their payment.
All proceeds will go to Hamden's Animal Shelter Gift Fund, established to create a new Hamden or Regional Animal Shelter. So wether you stop in for Happy Hour, make dinner reservations, or pick up take-out on your way home; you are helping to change the trajectory on the way our community treats its animal population.
Lastly, this is a numbers game. The more people who hear about this, the more people who can choose to attend. The more people who chose to attend, the greater our collective donation will be. So whether you can attend or not, it would be invaluable if you can share this with any animal-friendly contacts in your orbit. It's only with this good 'ol fashioned networking that we will inspire Hamden to move on a shelter location during 2018 - The Year of the Dog!
