German Christmas Market Returns Thanksgiving Weekend
The Hartford Saengerbund presents its biennial Christkindlmarkt (Christmas Market) over the three-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend Nov. 24-26. Enjoy the many holiday customs of Germany while perusing the imported and handcrafted items for sale.
This event features traditional music and pageantry. Dine on authentic German food and homemade desserts while enjoying beverages including imported German beer and Gluhwein (warm mulled wine), a holiday favorite.

The Hartford Saengerbund was established in 1858 as a German-American singing society and social club and will celebrate its 160th anniversary in 2018. Its motto is “True Dem Deutschen Lied,” or “True to the German Song.” The public is welcome at all of its events.
