Monster Mash at Stepping Stones: Spooktacular Surprises!

MONSTER MASH AT STEPPING STONES TREATS KIDS TO A NIGHT OF SPOOKTACULAR SURPRISES!

- Animal Embassy Brings Not-So-Creepy Creatures to Museum’s Annual Halloween Bash -

Prepare for a hair-raising Halloween happening at Stepping Stones Museum for Children’s annual Monster Mash on Saturday, October 28th from 5:00 – 8:30 pm. Families are sure to have a monstrously good time meandering through a Halloween maze, making boo-tiful crafts and meeting live creatures!

Venture if you dare into the Multimedia Gallery for the “Spooktacular Animal Adventure” presented by special guest Animal Embassy. The exotic animal rescue and adoption group will enable children to connect face-to-face with a pink-toed tarantula, an emperor scorpion, a Sinaloan milk snake, a boa constrictor, a spectacled owl, an Argentine black and white tegu, and more! The performances will begin at 5:30 pm.

“We appreciate Animal Embassy coming to demystify these amazing creatures and to help children to cross the line from fear to respect and appreciation,” said Rhonda Kiest, CEO and President of Stepping Stones. “Our hope is that families will see the beauty in these often creatures.”

Come dressed in your costume to enjoy a not-so-scary night full of tricks and treats:

  • Play Monster Games like Witch Hat Ring Toss, Ghost Bowling, and Monster Bean Bag Throw
  • Help decorate a giant cardboard pumpkin with tissue paper, construction paper, and markers
  • Under Wraps—help wrap a mummy or make a spider web
  • Witch’s Brew—watch a demonstration of witch’s magic (science tricks)

Create Halloween decorations at Make and Take stations:

  • Ghost Windsock—make a porch decoration out of cardstock and strips of plastic bag
  • Spin Art Spider Web—tinker with a motor, battery, and wires to create a unique picture of a spider web

The Stepping Stones Cafe will be open during the event. The museum will close at 4:00 pm in preparation for this special event.

Monster Mash tickets can be purchased online, by phone, or in person at the Welcome Desk. Early-bird discount of $2 off each ticket is available until October 22nd.
