2017 CT Walk for Polycystic Kidney Disease(PKD)

The purpose of the walk is to celebrate the fundraising that members of our community have done throughout the year. This fundraising supports research on Polycystic Kidney Disease which is one of the most common, life threatening genetic diseases affecting thousands in American and millions worldwide. PKD is most commonly passed from parent to child (50% chance), and fluid filled cysts grow on the kidneys that inhibit kidney function, and ultimately lead to dialysis and a kidney transplant. There is NO cure.
