Annual Outdoor Horror Movie Series Returns to Downtown Hartford for Six Consecutive Saturdays Hartford, CT
Hartford.com and the Hartford Business Improvement District are welcoming the Halloween season to downtown Hartford early this year with the return of their popular outdoor horror movie series, Spooky Popcorn presented by The Hartford. The movie series, which takes place by the Clock Tower on Constitution Plaza, will run for six consecutive Saturday nights. Spooky Popcorn will start with a screening of the locallymade horror film She Came From The Woods on August 5, which was written and directed by Connecticut native and two-time New England Emmy Award winner Erik Bloomquist. Spooky Popcorn will also feature several critically acclaimed horror classics including Nope (August 12), Silver Bullet (August 19), Ju-On: The Grudge (August 26), The Omen (September 2), and The Descent (September 9). Thanks to the generous support of presenting sponsor, The Hartford, all six movie screenings are free and open to the general public. All movie-goers are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs. Popcorn will be for sale at this year’s showing, and outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are also permitted. Children aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For more information on Spooky Popcorn visit Hartford.com/Spooky.
