Wesley A. Johnson II

Wes an ordained minister in the Baptist church is a native of Hampton, VA. He lived in the DMV (DC, MD & N.VA) where he served in youth ministry with local churches and as director for a large Christian youth non-profit organization. In the summer of 2010 Wes and his family moved to the Northeast to reignite a large Christian Youth Organization. In March of 2016 he felt compelled to launchThe Gathering ChristianChurch in CT where people can come as they are, be transformed and make a difference where they live. Wes has been recognized as a community organizer and vocal advocate for communities of color that have been historically underserved and under-resourced for over 20 years now.He is an officer with the Danbury NAACP and was a key organizer and speaker at a host of rallies amid the social unrest in 2020.

As the founder of J6 Enterprises Wes facilitates informative and inspirational conversations focused on race, leadership, an organizational culture called“Re-imagine”.He has been privileged to share his unguarded message of hope and encouragement with thousands of young people, churches, colleges, organizations and camps in the US, Africa and the UK. Wes is also viewed as a mentor to many young men and because of his passion for young men he is often called upon to consult and provide counsel to young men who have lost focus.

Wes a former jr. college football player holds a graduate degree from Clarks Summit University in Organizational Leadership and is a doctoral student at New York Theological Seminary with a focus on transformative leadership.Wes and his wife Dionne, and Education Consultant have been married for27 years and have 4 cool children.
