Interview: Tone Bell & Rojo Perez at the Hartford Funny Bone This Weekend!
Actor-comedian Tone Bell can be seen whenever and where ever you want starring opposite Kathy Bates on Netflix's original comedy series DISJOINTED. Tone has received critical praise for his depiction of Carter, an Iraq war veteran suffering from PTSD who discovers the healing power of cannabis. Previously Tone starred on the half hour comedy series TRUTH BE TOLD, BAD JUDGE and WHITNEY for NBC. An accomplished stand-up who tours regularly nationwide, Tone will be shooting his one hour comedy special early next year. He is currently developing a show at FX based on his comedic observations on contemporary issues surrounding "schisms" in this country. His half hour comedy special can currently be seen on Comedy Central and cc.com.Next year Tone can be seen starring opposite Vanessa Hudgens, Nina Dobrev, Eva Longoria, Finn Wolfhard and Adam Pally in LD Entertainment's DOG DAYS. Tone plays Jimmy, a former NFL player-turned-TV host looking for more in his life and relying on his furry friend for support. Tone is originally from Atlanta and currently resides in Los Angeles.
Rojo Perez is a New York-based comedian. Originally from Puerto Rico, Rojo moved to Florida for college and began performing stand-up comedy at age 20 in local clubs and small cafés. In August 2017 Rojo made his late night stand up debut on TBS "Conan". Since moving to New York City he has been a cast member on MTV's Decoded, Rojo was featured on Comedy Central's Funny 'Cause It's True, Time Out New York, TruTV's Comedy Knockout and Univision's FLAMA. He has also performed at top-tier comedy clubs across the country, such as the Comedy Studio in Boston, the Comedy Club on State in Madison, Cap City Comedy Club in Austin, ACME Comedy Company in Minneapolis, and Go Bananas Comedy Club in Cincinnati. In 2016 he was selected as a Standup NBC finalist and has been a part of the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, Moontower Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, LA Riot Comedy Festival and Akumal Comedy Festival in Mexico. Rojo's future plans include one day earning enough money so that relatives will ask to borrow some and continuing to spread laughter regardless of race, religion, or gender.
