- Apples - They don’t want fruit on Halloween, especially the kind that could hide razor blades inside, even if it is mostly just an urban myth.
- Granny candy - This includes old fashioned sweets like circus peanuts, strawberry bonbons and Necco wafers.
- Hard to chew candy - Whether they have a loose tooth or braces, some candy is tough to chew for kids, like Laffy Taffy, Tootsie Rolls and candy corn.
- Raisins - Even if they’re yogurt-covered, trick-or-treaters don’t consider these a treat at all.⠀
