Most of us Willing To Pay More For Products That Last

While most people love to save some money these days, they also want to get things that are of good quality, and according to a new survey, they’re willing to shell out extra money to get it.

 A survey by Slickdeals finds:

  • 60% of Americans say they’d be willing to spend more money on quality items than get something that’s cheaper and of poorer quality.
  • In fact, the average person would gladly pay more than twice the asking price for something that would last 20 years.
  • 63% of people have come to that realization after being burned by a cheap version of a product.
  • When it comes to items that last, the average person has held on to their oldest own item for 15 years.
  • Some of the oldest items they use daily include:
    • Phones (25%)
    • Cars (13%)
    • Watches (8%)
  • 67% of people say there are some items they would always pay more for as long as they last, including:
    • Cars (34%)
    • Kitchen appliances (34%)
    • Cookware (30%)
    • TVs (28%)
    • Phones (26%)
    • Jewelry (26%)
    • Watches (25%)
    • Exercise equipment (22%)
    • Dishware (19%)
    • Shoes (19%)
