Meet The First Female MLB Coach!

The 2020 Major League Baseball season will look very different, and one new look already took place on the field Monday night during an exhibition game when the San Francisco Giants had a woman coach first base. 29-year-old Alyssa Nakken, who was hired earlier this year as manager Gabe Kapler's assistant coach, is the first female coach in Major League Baseball history, and now also the first to coach in an on-field capacity. Nakken, who was an all-conference softball player in college, has worked with the Giants organization since 2014.
