Meet George! A Happy and Sweet Pup Ready to Find His Loving Forever Home!

It's always exciting when a pet gets the "all clear" to be up for adoption after medical treatment, but it's especially exciting for George! He's 9 years old and has been working on multiple issues with the Connecticut Humane Society veterinary team: having lumps and bumps removed, getting some relief for arthritis, and trying a special diet for kidney support. (Care that was supported by a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization and CHS supporters!) Along the way, everyone has fallen in love with this sweet dog.

He loves toys and will carry them around, he takes strolls not walks, and you can just see in his face he's grateful for all the affection he's been getting. Now he can't wait to snuggle with his future family. His ideal home won’t have many stairs, and if there are kiddos, they should be 8 years old and up.

Do you have the perfect retirement home for George? Visit CThumane.org/adopt to learn more. An online application can be found in each pet’s profile. CHS is a private organization with locations in Newington, Waterford and Westport and the reduced-fee Fox Memorial Clinic for owned pets, and is not affiliated with the government or any other animal welfare organizations. CHS’ work is made possible 100% through the generosity of donors.
