Here is Renee's interview with Barbara Michalek, Director of Run For The Fallen Connecticut! She gives a little history on how the event first began and chats about what you can expect on race day.
Run For The Fallen will take place at Veterans Memorial Park in Middletown on Saturday, September 21st. The event and gathering honors military heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice, including a 65KM run that dedicates one kilometer to each of the fallen 65 men and women from CT.

6:00 – 2:30 PM: 65K Run and Walk*
11:00 – 2:00 PM: Lunch @ Pavilion Opens
11:00 – 11:15 PM: Missing Man Table Honors/Ceremony
11:00 – 2:00 PM: Exhibits, Children’s Activities & Military Passport Activity
2:15 – 2:30 PM: Children’s Run (400 yard)
2:15 – 2:30 PM: Runners- Final Lap around Memorial
2:30 PM: Raffle Drawings
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM Remembrance Ceremony, RFTFCT & Honor and Remember CT
* Runners depart every hour, on the hour. The 5K tribute run will run the last 5KM of lap 8. Runners will gather at Snow School no later than 1:30pm to join the last group of runners.
