GH YMCA It's Summer Camp Season!

Greater Hartford YMCA: It's Summer Camp Season!

Listen below to Renee's interview with Jeff Spadaccini, Association Director of Day Camping for the GHYMCA, and Oliver Gregan, Summer & Family Camp Director at Camp Jewell YMCA! They chat about all of the amazing summer camp opportunities for kids, whether it's day camp or overnight camp!

YMCA Summer Camps promote friendship, teach life skills, and are tons of FUN! The YMCA of Greater Hartford operates several world-class camps across the Hartford region. Our two flagship day camp programs are Camp Chase in Burlington and Camp Yankee Trails in Tolland. These dedicated camp facilities are among the very best in camp programs focusing on friendship making, new skill development, and building self-esteem.

We also have day camp programs in 10 other towns across Connecticut, including: Bloomfield, East Hartford, Ellington, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartford, Plainville, Putnam, West Hartford and Wethersfield. In addition, we offer day camp at our 2 renowned overnight camp facilities, Camp Jewell in Colebrook and Camp Woodstock in Woodstock.

At our day camps, we offer preschool camp starting at 3 years old, traditional camp through grade 8, teen leadership and counselor in training programs for high school students, and specialty camps that focus on one skill for those looking for a deep dive!

And don't forget the overnight and adventure camps for teens! We off one- and two-week sessions for overnight camp to give children of all ages the chance to be independent and make lifelong friendships. Our teen leadership programs and adventure camps will keep the kids hooked all through their childhood. There's never a dull moment during the summer at the YMCA!
