In typical Los Angeles fashion, a guy got into a police chase and was followed by a news helicopter. It's a common occurrence in L.A.
What's not typical is stopping for gas during a chase.
According to The Drive, he stopped for gas again a bit later. He had a more difficult time obtaining gas because he was out of money but he managed to fill up.
The suspect was apprehended a short time later after pulling into a parking garage. The police had pulled back their ground pursuit for public safety, but they really knew where he was the entire time.
