Twitter Quipped Along To Jon Bon Jovi's Inauguration Special Beatles Cover

While Jon Bon Jovi couldn't attend President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris' inauguration Wednesday in Washington D.C., the longtime democratic donor and fundraiser made certain to contribute a performance to the 46th U.S. president's Celebrating America primetime TV special.

The special was part of the Biden/Harris team's virtual inauguration festivities. After a year of anxiety caused by COVID-19, racial tension and the 2020 Election, Bon Jovi chose The Beatles' hopeful George Harrison-penned classic "Here Comes The Sun" to express the relief many Americans felt as the transfer of power was completed.

While most of the Celebrating America performances were pre-taped, Bon Jovi's had the most added production value. Jon and his Kings of Suburbia backing band recorded their performance from what could be a boardwalk at the Jersey Shore but is actually Florida.

Jon and co. begin the performance beneath an overcast sky, but as the song goes along, the sun gradually peeks out from behind the clouds.

Though understated, there's something about the production that viewers found inherently amusing. One viewer pointed out via Twitter that it "looks like an ad for medication that helps lower cholesterol."

Another suggested that, "Bon Jovi is either singing at the inauguration or is in a commercial for fiber cookies."

Comic and HBO's United Shades of America host W. Kamau Bell added that, "Jon Bon Jovi looks like what Bill Clinton think he looks like."
