GOOD NEWS: An Olympic Swimmer Rescues Man Who Fell Off Unicorn Float!

A day at the beach quickly turned from fun in the sun to a scary situation for a man who fell off his unicorn float in Sardinia. Fortunately, Italian Olympic swimmer Filippo Magnini was nearby and rescued the drowning man before lifeguards had a chance. Magnini is a two-time world champion in the hundred-meter freestyle who won bronze for Italy at the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Andrea Benedetto was paddling around on the inflatable unicorn when he fell into the water and couldn’t move his limbs because of a medical condition. But Magnini, an Olympic medalist, was on vacation on the Italian island and rushed to save the man when he saw him in distress. The hero tells Italian press, “I just did what I had to do.”
