A dad who was arrested for breaking traffic laws while rushing his one-year-old daughter to the hospital has reportedly been bonded out by a group of nurses. Darius Hinkle wasn’t worried about speeding when his baby girl was choking on a penny, the dad says he was just trying to get her to the hospital in a hurry.
Hinkle admits he doesn’t have a valid driver’s license and that he was speeding while rushing his baby to get medical help. He also made a few traffic violations along the way and there were a handful of police officers behind him when he pulled into Touchette Regional Hospital in Centreville, Illinois. He was taken into custody, but a group of nurses actually bonded him out of jail.
The baby’s mom says she arrived at the jail when a woman she didn’t recognize was there to bond Hinkle out. She then learned that a group of nurses chipped in to raise money to get the concerned father out of jail. “I can’t thank them enough,” Hinkle says.
