Back in November,Queen’s Brian May sparked rumors of a follow-up to the Oscar-winning biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” when he hinted: “Who knows? There might be a sequel.” Now, the band’s former video director Rudi Dolezal has further fueled the rumors.
Speaking to Dolezal says that a follow-up is “being heavily discussed in the Queen family.” More specifically, he says he’s “sure” that Queen’s manager Jim Beach is planning a sequel that picks up where the movie left off, the band’s iconic Live Aid performance. Even so, it’s still unclear if the rumors are true – a rep for Queen’s record label says they haven’t heard about another film.
The award-winning flick was a huge hit, raking in more than $870 million worldwide. So, a sequel couldn’t hurt, right?
